You see the face on the tv screen
Coming at you every sunday
See that face on the billboard
That man is me
On the cover of the magazine
Theres no question why Im smiling
You buy a piece of paradise
You buy a piece of me
Ill get you everything you wanted
Ill get you everything you need
Dont need to believe in hereafter
Just believe in me
Cos jesus he knows me
And he knows Im right
Ive been talking to jesus all my life
Oh yes he knows me
And he knows Im right
And hes been telling me
Everything is alright
I believe in the family
With my ever loving wife beside me
But she dont know about my girlfriend
Or the man I met last night
Do you believe in god
Cos thats what Im selling
And if you wanna get to heaven
Ill see you right
You wont even have to leave your house
Or get outta your chair
You dont even have to touch that dial
Cos Im everywhere
And jesus he knows me
And he knows Im right
Ive been talking to jesus all my life
Oh yes he knows me
And he knows Im right
Well hes been telling me
Everythings gonna be alright
Wont find me practising what Im preaching
Wont find me making no sacrifice
But I can get you a pocketful of miracles
If you promise to be good, try to be nice
God will take good care of you
Just do as I say, dont do as I do
Im counting my blessings,
Ive found true happiness
Cos Im getting richer, day by day
You can find me in the phone book,
Just call my toll free number
You can do it anyway you want
Just do it right away
Therell be no doubt in your mind
Youll believe everything Im saying
If you wanna get closer to him
Get on your knees and start paying
Cos jesus he knows me
And he knows Im right
Ive been talking to jesus all my life
Oh yes he knows me
And he knows Im right
Well hes been telling me
Everythings gonna be alright, alright
Na na na naa…na na naa na naa…
Well I got a silly little girl, she’s on my mind
Look at her, she looks so fine
She’s a best girl I’ve ever had
Except that she’s gonna make me feel so sad
Na na na naa…na na naa na naa…
Na na na naa…na na naa na naa…
Hush, hush…I thought heard you’re calling my name now
Hush, hush…you broke my heart but that was a dream now
Hush, hush…I thought I heard you’re calling my name now
Hush, hush…you broke my heart but that was a dream now
Early in the morning, late in the evening
Oh gotta believe me honey, I never was a dreamer
Hush, hush…I thought heard you’re calling my name now
Hush, hush…you broke my heart but that was a dream now
Hush, hush…I thought I heard you’re calling my name now
Hush, hush…you broke my heart but that was a dream now
Early in the morning, late in the evening
ohhh yeah…
Na na na naa na na naa na naaa…
Na na na naa na na naa na naaa…
Naaaaa naa naa naaaaa naa naa naaaaa naa naa naaaaaaa…

Yeah Yeah Yeah x4
I love you
but i gotta stay true
my morals got me on my knees
I’m begging please stop playing games
I don’t know what this is
cos you got me good
just like you knew you would
I don’t know what you do
but you do it well
I’m under your spell
Chorus
You got me begging you for mercy
why won’t you release me
you got me begging you for mercy
why won’t you release me
I said release me
Now you think that I
will be something on the side
but you got to understand
that i need a man
who can take my hand yes i do
I don’t know what this is
but you got me good
just like you knew you would
I don’t know what you do
but you do it well
I’m under your spell
You got me begging you for mercy
why wont you release me
you got me begging you for mercy
why wont you release me
I said you’d better release yeah yeah yeah
I’m begging you for mercy
yes why wont you release me
I’m begging you for mercy
you got me begging
you got me begging
you got me begging
Mercy, why wont you release me
I’m begging you for mercy
why wont you release me
you got me begging you for mercy
I’m begging you for mercy
I’m begging you for mercy
I’m begging you for mercy
I’m begging you for mercy
How many special people change?
How many lives are living strange?
Where were you while we were getting high?
Slowly walking down the hall
Faster than a cannonball
Where were you while we were getting high?
Someday you will find me
Caught beneath the landslide
In a champagne supernova in the sky
Someday you will find me
Caught beneath the landslide
In a champagne supernova
A champagne supernova in the sky
Wake up the dawn and ask her why
A dreamer dreams, she never dies
Wipe that tear away now from your eye
Slowly walking down the hall
Faster than a cannonball
Where were you while we were getting high?
Someday you will find me
Caught beneath the landslide
In a champagne supernova in the sky
Someday you will find me
Caught beneath the landslide
In a champagne supernova
A champagne supernova
‘Cuz we don’t believe
That they’re gonna get away from the summer
But you and I will never die
The world’s still spinning around we don’t know why
Why-why-why-why-i-i
(guitar solo)
How many special people change?
How many lives are living strange?
Where were you while we were getting high?
Slowly walking down the hall
Faster than a cannonball
Where were you while we were getting high?
Someday you will find me
Caught beneath the landslide
In a champagne supernova in the sky
Someday you will find me
Caught beneath the landslide
In a champagne supernova
A champagne supernova
‘Cuz we don’t believe
That they’re gonna get away from the summer
But you and I will never die
The world’s still spinning around we don’t know why
Why-why-why-why-i-i
(a really long guitar solo)
(background - sounds like a bunch of “No”’s)
(birds chirping)
(more guitar)
How many special people change?
How many lives are living strange?
Where were you while we were getting high?
We were getting high <– 9 times, background “Oooh-oooh”
(Fades out 7th-9th times to just one “Oooh-oooh”)
(Song gets really quiet, fades to a peaceful guitar solo.)
Se trata de “Do you remember rock and roll radio” de The Ramones:
La letra:
Rock’n, rock’n'roll radio Let’s go
Rock’n, rock’n'roll radio Let’s go
Rock’n, rock’n'roll radio Let’s go
Rock’n, rock’n'roll radio Let’s go
Do you remember Hullabaloo,
Upbeat, Shinding and Ed Sullivan too?
Do you remember rock’n'roll radio?
Do you remember rock’n'roll radio?
Do you remember Murray the K,
Alan Freed, and high energy?
It’s the end, the end of the 70’s
It’s the end, the end of the century
Do you remember lying in bed
With your covers pulled up over your head?
Radio playin’ so no one can see
We need change, we need it fast
Before rock’s just part of the past
‘Cause lately it all sounds the same to me
Oh oh oh oh, oh oh
Will you remember Jerry Lee,
John Lennon, T. Rex and OI Moulty?
It’s the end, the end of the 70’s
It’s the end, the end of the century
